Located in the heart of historic Lincoln at 50 Grantham Street, LN2 1LW, our showroom occupies a stunning 15th-century Grade II listed building. We’ve created a relaxed, home-from-home environment where you can experience premium audio systems the way they’re meant to be enjoyed — without pressure, in comfort, and with exceptional coffee always on hand.

Our Story

Founded by David McCaffrey, Revelation Audio brings together over 20 years of deep experience in the audio-visual industry. David has worked with some of the world’s most respected brands — including Arcam, Tannoy, Panasonic, Sony, and JBL — giving him unparalleled insight into what truly delivers outstanding sound quality.

After two decades helping shape the industry, David opened Revelation Audio to focus on what matters most: carefully curated, high-performance audio solutions tailored to real people and real listening spaces. We specialise in both analogue and digital sources, state-of-the-art amplifiers, and loudspeakers that reveal every nuance of your music.

My passion for music runs deep and has been the driving force behind everything I do at Revelation Audio. For me, music isn’t just background noise — it’s emotion, storytelling, energy, and escape all at once. I love how a perfectly reproduced track can transport you, make your heart race, or bring tears to your eyes. Some of my favourite artists right now include Karsh Kale for his groundbreaking fusion of Indian classical with electronic grooves, Etherwood for those soulful, atmospheric drum & bass journeys, and Tom Misch for his effortless blend of jazz, soul, and groove. But my tastes are truly eclectic — one minute I’m deep into jazz fusion or classic rock, the next I’m exploring ambient electronica, vintage soul, progressive metal, or world music from every corner of the globe. That wide-ranging love is exactly why I’m so committed to systems that can handle anything you throw at them with honesty, detail, and musicality.
