Product Overview
JBL Stage 260F is the midsize floor standing loudspeaker of the new JBL Stage 2 Series. This floor standing loudspeaker features a 2.5-way design with Next Generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide geometry, 1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminium dome tweeter, and dual 6.5-inch (165mm) Polycellulose cone woofers that provide deep, signature JBL bass.
Designed and engineered in JBLs world-famous Acoustic Engineering Centre of Excellence in Northridge, California.
Dual 6.5-inch (165mm) Polycellulose Ribbed Cone Woofers
The 260F features Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. This pure pulp cone has a proprietary mix of other materials added to improve its rigidity and the ribs echo legendary JBL designs. These woofers produce deep, accurate, room filling bass.
1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminum Tweeter in a Next Generation HDI™ Waveguide
Through intense research of previous waveguide designs, JBL has developed a new complex geometry that improves directivity, reduced diffraction, and an overall neutral frequency response both on and off axis. The Stage 2 HDI Horn is coupled to an anodized aluminum dome tweeter to enhance efficiency and dynamics. This new design offers a neutral frequency response both on and off axis.
A quality cabinet
The JBL Stage 260F speaker cabinets are made of audio-grade MDF. This rigid material has good audio characteristics such as resisting resonances.
Moreover, good internal bracing provides solid mounting for the drivers. Additionally, Jbl have fitted a Bass Reflex via Dual Flared Racetrack Rear-Firing Tuned Ports that boosts the bass down to 40Hz.
Precision 2.5-Way Crossover
The JBL Stage 260F floorstanding model features a unique tow and a half-way crossover design. This unique design crosses over the top woofer, right below the tweeter’s output, while the other woofer is crossed over at a lower frequency.
This creates a dynamic mid-range but both woofers still extend as deep as they can go for powerful bass. This produces cohesive balanced output, with a robust low end that can be both heard and felt.
Premium components are used to construct the crossovers, fitted to the Stage 2 line.
The high frequency section features air core inductors and mylar capacitors, that reduce distortion and improve sonic performance.
The low frequency section includes laminate core inductors and electrolytic capacitors. These premium materials can handle more power and transmit energy faster, elevating system performance.
Compatible with 240H Atmos Module
The 260F mates perfectly with the JBL Stage 240H to add Dolby Atmos to your system for an enhanced listening experience. Dedicated Atmos 5-way binding posts hide the wiring and create a seamless appearance.
